Hello My name is Freya. I am a Black/Rust female. My Mother is Babes Blue Sheba Girl and my Dad is J.W.'s Clydeo. My mom is Blue/Tan and my dad is Red/Rust.

I am a black#1. For those of you that know genetics. No matter what color I breed with I am going to have some Black puppies in my litter. Or so the lady says that studied my lines. And looked into my genetics.

I have a very warm manner. Excellent disposition my mom says. Good with kids and others. And pretty good with other dogs. I have to check out strangers but I don't bite them. Least I have not found one that I wanted to bite yet. LOL>I am a great watch dog. I bark at anything out of the ordinary.
I am a special puppy I am told. When my mom had us she developed mastitis. That is very serious and can kill us. The vet that checked my mom said she was ok and she wasn't. (mema don't use him no more) She was in such pain that she attacked me when I was only a week and half old when I was trying to nurse. She shook and flung me like a rag doll and I landed up against the wall. I cried something awful my mema says.She was there when it happened and grabbed me up and comforted me but I would not quit crying. Mom had shook me so hard it dislocated my neck. My head was twisted to the side. When I finally quit crying mema checked me over for other damage. I was ok except for my neck. I know mom did not mean to hurt me. It was the pain she was in. Mema said I would be hers and have a home for life as she would not sell me and she sure as heck was not going to put me down. Said a crick in the neck was not going to change me as a dog. This is me below at 4 weeks old, at this time I was called little Crick neck. And I was very much loved.Mema said it did not make any difference if I was not like all the others. That it was not my fault and no matter what she loved me. Amy loved me a lot to. And played with me lot. Because she loved me so much she asked if she could have me since mema was keeping me, and Mema gave me to Amy.

Now you might think that they would have put me down since I was not right but that's not my mema. She was not going to give up on meShe took time and worked with my neck. Then she talked to her Chiropractor about me and he told her to bring me in. And she come home got me and took me to Dr. Stowe in Phenix City.Al. He started doing adjustments on me. Each week mema took me in to see him. I squirmed a lot when he worked with me. It hurt some and I was scared. But after a few weeks my neck and back was all back in alignment. As he said my back was messed up too. He was wonderful. And I thank him so much for taking the time to help me. Now I am a big beautiful Dog. And you would never know I had been hurt when I was a baby. And that's how I got my name. Amy named me Freya the Charmed One because I was a charmed puppy and lucky to be alive.
Now I am all grown up as you can see from my picture at the top. And I have had my first litter of puppies. There all big and beautiful. See them below. They are just one month old in this photo.

I have marked most all of my puppies with my white mark. It is on the toes. LOL>Not much just a hint of white on the tips of there toes just like me. And some have a white dot under there neck. I have been a really good momma dog my mema says. And mum says I am very good. I get so much good stuff. I get the best food. They call it Holistic dog food. And lots of human food. I love it all. We get a lot of venison too. Man that stuff is good. Right now with pups I get a lot more extra so I can feed the pups. Mema does up venison broth and brings over for us all to eat.She bought a freezer for mum to freeze up meat and broth for us. She keeps mum well supplied with good stuff for us.
I have 2 acres to run and play in. Love chasing chipmunks and squirrels. And sometimes we catch them and take them in the house to present to mum. She don't like that tho. Don't know why, we kill em before we take em in. But she says there nasty. But they were fun for us to play with. And we're proud that we caught them. So we have to show her how good we are and how fast we are. The chase is so much fun.
We have a dog door in the house so we come and go as we want to. We live in the house. I sleep on the couch and bed. Just depends on where I want to be. And how squiggly my master is. LOL> I think I have the best home that a dog could have. And I could not ask for more loving humans. We really are very spoiled. But don't tell them that. Some pictures of me as time has gone by are below.

When my ears came out of the box I looked like the flying nun. But they came up and I turned into a beauty.

This is me at 6 months. I have such a personality. When you talk to me I tip my head and listen to you. And I love laying in the grass in the yard.

We accept cash, and money orders via Western Union ,Wal-Mart Money Grams and Pay Pal Only. Pay Pal add 4% fee. Deposit is $200.00 NR. Payment in full must be made By 6 weeks of age at which time you should pick up your pup. Pups not paid for by 6 weeks will be sold to next person on list and deposit will be forfeit. Shipped pups go at 8 weeks of age. Shipping price to be determined at time of shipment Because of fuel cost. Currently $450 plus. Pups must be paid in full prior to shipping including the shipping costs. You may make weekly payments as long as pup is paid for by 6 weeks, 7 if shipping. Pups are raised in the house. Call to schedule a time to visit to pick out your pup if your local or within traveling distance. Parents on Premises. So you may meet them and interact with them.
Please do not stop at any Pet Shops or pounds or Kennels before coming here. As the pups are in a disease free environment and I want no virus’s brought in. You will be asked to spray soles of shoes before entering my house to make sure you bring in no virus on your shoes. And if you wish to handle the pups you will be asked to wash first. Hello my name is Sheba. I am owned by Dalene and Michaelene. I live with Dalene. I am a sister to Zues and Sasha. I was born March 25-2006. You can see my pedigree on Sasha's page. I love my home and my mistress and master. I have 2 acres to run and play in. My partner Was J.W.'s Clydeo. He is now over the rainbow bridge. Hello My name is Blackie. I was born Dec.15 2007. My mom is Babe's Blue Sheba Girl and my dad is J.W.'s Clydeo. This is me below.

I was 1 of 11 pups born to my mom Sheba. We had a ruff time growing up because mom got mastitus. She got really bad with pain and had to be muzzled and held while we ate. She was a good mom just in so much pain. It was the vets fault that saw her, as our vet was out of town on Christmas Holiday. He said she was ok when she was not. We almost lost our mom. My mum saved my mom by using heat compresses and gentle massaging for several days till her regular vet got back. But mum is ok and we all did good. I got to stay with Dalene because she said that I reminded her of her dearly beloved Lisa who she lost a few years back. I am not a really big dog. My sister Freya is bigger than I am. But I am kinda of a mean gal. I pick on her a lot. We don't get along to well. I am more hyper. Mum says I get into everything. But mum was not real good at making me mind so I took advantage of that. I love to sneak things off the table or counter and cart them outside. I took mums cell phone once and was packing it around in the yard at nite. I got caught because if flipped open and the light was on...I got in big trouble for that one. Pop says I have no manners. And I don't mind. I don't think he likes me to much. Says that mum did not really need me. Mema has me at the moment trying to train me and give me some manners. When she speaks she means business. I have had my nose slapped so many times from trying to get into her plate when she is eating. I am hard headed she says but I am slowly learning. I am a good dog just hard headed. I like things my way.
We have a wonderful home. Lots of good food and plenty of room to run.

This is me when I had my ears posted. Man what a drag. This is me at 6 months. I was really a scrapper and got a shock collar used as I was always picking fights with sister.

I am a big kid. Mom hates the flash says it hurts her eyes and she can't see. Had to check out this new pup that mom was babysitting for mema. Hmmm she better not think she is going to get my luvin, mum is mine.

I ended up going to Mema's place. I wanted to be top dog and got in trouble for wanting to fight my sister
Freya all the time. I hurt her once pretty bad. They said it was best for me to go to Mema's. I need a place where
I can be the Alpha female. I get along great with the guys. This is me on Mema's deck with Selene. Just
enjoying the sun. I just got bred this week.

We really love our puppies.They are wonderful puppies and are as healthy as can be. They have a weekly visit with our vet ( he is our friend)his clinic only handles cats and dogs and both vets are of the greatest reputation, both are Auburn graduates, one is 52 and the other is 30 years old. Jack and Jill are very well behaved, they have not bit into anything that was not their toys, the walk together and are completely housed trained (they both have extra large crates with three side doors.the coats are magnificent, the vets says they are the best they have seen. They go out and play three times a day, and run around the back yard (about 2 and half acres) and love to look at the lake, probably will go swimming this summer. They are absolutely a wonderful addition to our family "pack".

Hey Michaelene,
Cyan had her 12week visit and shot on this past thursday, and she weighed 24lbs and 6oz. She is all legs and body right now but soon I think she will put on a bit more muscle. She has some strong back legs and her arms are developing a lot but she's so lanky that its not much on her body. The vet gave her a good bill of health and she has been taking her NuVet Vitamins, so thank you for the Christmas gift, we actually have started having Cadillac take the Vitamins as well. Thank you for all the great advice you have given us, our dogs are much healthier because of it. Cadillac has actually lost a few pounds since we got Cyan, Thank you so much.

Dog Food. Know what your feeding your Doberman or other pet

I recommend a good Holistic food. (I feed Blue Life protection formula Puppy, and adult and Nutro Max Holistic. . )Purchased at Pet Smart. Why Holistic you ask?? Well if you read the ingredient label of most dog food you will find that they contain Meat-By-Product, or Chicken-By-Products, or Animal digest, or Animal By Product , Do you know what goes in these by products?? Well I did not until I got to researching my dogs foods. And I was appalled. I could not believe what I found. And I found it all on the Internet. Although you may think all pet food manufacturers have your pet’s best interests in mind, this is not always the case. Current pet food regulations allow manufacturers to use ingredients that you would never knowingly give to your pet. In fact, you may be shocked to learn what some brands of pet food really contain. For example: the use of by-products (feet, bones and intestines, etc.), chemical preservatives (BHA and BHT) and grains that are often difficult to digest (corn, wheat, gluten and soy), which are often used as a protein source instead of meat.

This is some of what goes into standard dog food and this is food from even the top brands of food like Alpo, Pedigree, Science Diet and many many more.

Altho Science diet now has a natural dog food without by products. But they are way below Blue Buffalo in what it has. And is about the same price or more expensive. Purina also has finally come out with a holistic Dog Food. It is called Purina Pro Plan. But in comparison to Blue Buffalo it came up short. And is about the same price. So for my money Blue Buffalo is still tops.As it has so much more in it.

Animal Digest --According to the AAFCO this is what can be and is used in Animal Digest . (Animal digest is a common ingredient used in pet foods. It is material which results from chemical and/or enzymatic hydrolysis of clean and un-decomposed animal tissue. The animal tissues used shall be exclusive of hair, horns, teeth, hooves and feathers, except in such trace amounts as might occur unavoidably in good factory practice and shall be suitable for animal feed.[1]
As defined by the AAFCO, it is produced by chemically or enzymatically treating animal tissue (such as flesh, bone, organs, etc.) from slaughterhouses and other sources, in a process akin to rendering.
Yet another expert defines this as "a cooked-down broth" which can be made from unspecified parts of unspecified animals. The animals used can be obtained from almost any source and no control is in place over quality or contamination. Any kind of animal can be included: "4-D animals" (dead, diseased, disabled, or dying prior to slaughter), goats, pigs, horses, rats, euthanized at animal shelters, restaurant and supermarket refuse and so on.")

Animal By Products--Animal by-products are biodegradable wastes consisting of animal carcases, parts of animal carcases, products of animal origin which are not intended for human consumption, includes catering waste (all waste food from restaurants, catering facilities, central kitchens, slaughterhouses and household kitchens).

Beef By Products -- The dreaded 4 D’s.. Dead, diseased, disabled or dying animals are used. This can include according to the AAFCO any part of the animal. And can include animals from Shelters that have been Euthanized, or died natural death, road kill , Slaughter house animals that cannot be used for human consumption even if there diseased.

Chicken By Products can include Chicken feet, legs, beaks, dead, diseased or dying animals.

Now why would I want to feed that to my babies. Go here and watch this video. I am not recommending this particular holistic food. But the video tells it like it is.This video is a must see if you truly love your pet.
I tried there food and ran it in my comparison of which dog food was best. It is good but the Blue was better. Had more ingredients, more vitamins, minerals, and herbs. And My dogs seemed to like it better.

Your dog needs vegetables, fruits, vitamins, minerals, Fish Oils for there skin and coat. And your only going to find this in a holistic food. I have spent days,weeks,and months researching dog foods. I have ordered off the Internet and bought from stores. And I have bought and tried many holistic foods with my dogs. And the one that I like best and my dogs like it too.is Blue Life protection formula. My babies like the one in the orange bag best but I think that's because it has molasses in it. I use the light blue bag, orange bag, and red bag. They all 3 have different things in them. The puppy formula has the most and that's my main feeder food.Each of the other feeders have one variety in it. I had purchased it off the Internet till I found that Pet Smart carried it, and it was cheaper at Pet Smart. Now the first thing your going to say is it costs so much. But in time I have found that I am actually paying less cause my dogs are not having to eat so much trying to get the nutrition they need. In a regular dog food it will tell you to feed 8-9cups of food a day for your full grown dog. With the holistic you may feed between 3-5. Each food varies some. My dogs have free choice from the time they start eating and I find that they stay healthy. They don’t wolf down there food when you feed cause your only feeding once a day. My dogs are not overweight and my Vet says they look fantastic every time I take them in. There coats are soft and shiny. They seem to have more energy and play a lot more. Tho they had enough to start with. I don’t have dandruff or skin problems. And they seem to stay cleaner.. I don’t have to bathe them monthly. Which is really hard on them as it dries the skin out causing the dandruff type flaking and itchy skin according to my vet.
I could go on about how much difference I have seen in my animals but you need to try it for yourself.

You can buy it in bulk 30# bag and the cost is about $6.00 a pound. You can get smaller quantity's also. It is about the same as NuVet but a bit more expensive. I have used both and they seem about the same.I currently have my babies on the NuVet.

If you have the time the best canned is home cooked. LOL> For a good holistic food you pay $1 up.. I cook for my kids now. And my cost for the same amount as in a can figures out to about 28 cents. That's for a 16oz serving. (Alabama Prices) I cook up big kettles at a time and freeze it in 16oz containers and pull it when I need it. Thaw, heat, and use. It is better for your dog. Below is one of my recipes for home cooked stew.

In a 23 qt cooker put in 5-7 # meat already cooked, 3 cups rice, 3 cups noodles (any kind or shape) 3 cups oatmeal, 1 or 2 bags of frozen mixed vegetables, 2 bag of frozen stir fry vegetables.( I use 2 different stir fry's as they have different veggies in them )And about 40 cups of water.Garlic chopped up fresh or powder, a dash of salt and pepper and season salt, dash of cinnamon. Then I season it with regular spice's that I use in making a stew. Put on and cook.As it thickens I add water if necessary. I cook it about an hour or so till it is all cooked up soft and mushy. Then I put in 16oz containers and freeze. I usually get 40+ containers out of a batch. And my cost is about 28cents a serving. Your price will vary according to what you pay for your items. Now if you want to do a small batch, cut the cups to 1 cup each. This cooked stew is also edible by us. I cook chicken and dumplings, or turkey and dumplings with mixed veggies added in. I mix the veggies in the batter before dropping into my boiling liquid and or just put in the broth from the chicken or turkey. My dogs love it. In the evening I add 1 container of my home cooked food to there dry food. It is there Treat meal as I call it. As my dogs have dry 24/7. They eat when they get hungry.

If your working on keeping a nice shiny coat there are many things you can do to help keep it that way. I add Olive oil, and egg to there evening treat meal. There evening treat meal is 1 cup dry, 1# cooked, 1 egg, 1 tsp.Olive oil, 2 slice's bread, 1 NuVet tab or 1 scoop showstopper . Mix up well and feed. A good Holistic canned food is Max or Authority. My dogs prefer Max. ( Occasionally I also use Alpo chunk.My one concession to a non holistic food. And the reason is I know a truck driver that delivers the meats to the plant for processing and he says he has never seen any food in the 4 D category ever come in to them. All the trucks are refrigerated and he claims is standard beef and chicken. )

My babies also get liver milkshake. . I mix liver, milk, egg, olive oil, showstopper in a blender making them a milkshake. When I turn that blender on no matter where there at outside within seconds I have all 7 sitting at my feet waiting. Just like an athlete that drinks raw eggs and liver which we think is disgusting but they think its great, they do it for a reason. Well the same holds true for your baby. It is good for them.

I have been asked about what I cook for my babies. This is what I use in my stew. Mind you I am making a 22qt cooker full. So you would have to adjust accordingly
My recipe
6-8# of venison.Venison is super high in protein.(You can use any meat) I get mine from the meat processing place during deer season. They really waste a lot and throw away a lot.
2 # mixed vegetables (beans,corn,peas,carrots) or 2# Gumbo mixed Vegetables, (Beans,Peas, corn,Okra, Lima beans, red peppers,
carrots, squash)
2 # stir fry vegetables, (broccoli, cauliflower, onions,carrots,)
4 cups rice,
4 cups any macaroni product.( I like spaghetti as it is thin and seems to spread thru-out the mixture better. If I use noodles I crush them up)
4 cups oatmeal.
1 Loaf 7 grain or other wheat type bread.In a bowl I blend it up in the broth from cooking and add it back to the pot.
Spices, I spice just like I would for me, Using Bay Leaves, Oregano,Thyme,Basil,Parsley,garlic,Season Salt.(Lowrys) Salt & cinnamon. My salt is sea salt.
Sometimes I will add a granola mix to the pot.
I cook it all up adding the oatmeal & Granola mix last thing after all the veggies noodles and rice are cooked. Let it thicken up and then put it in 1# containers. 16oz plastic freezer bowls. Then each evening they get one serving of cooked with 1 1/2 cups dry, 1 tsp Olive oil, 1 egg every other day, Show stopper or NuVet, Blend it all up and that's there supper.

They get beef rib bones. Raw part of the time but most of the time cooked. I like to BBQ and they love it. Good for them and good for the teeth. And they love it. The bone cooks up softer if you wrap the Ribs in tin foil before cooking. They actually Steam cook.

Buy a chicken and cook it up. Not fried but boiled. bone it out and make them a chicken meal.I make up dumpling dough and put in it and we all have chicken and dumplings. Neck bones if you can find them are terrific for them. There packed with good stuff. If you cook the chicken long enough and get the bones soft enough you can run them through a blender and make a puree out of them. I just drop chunks of chicken and bone in blender and blend. Pressure cooking makes em really soft. And there are so many nutrients in it.
My babies also get Venison. I get it from the meat processing place's and cook it up and freeze it. Then they have a supply of meat for a while.

The difference in feeding what your baby really needs and just feeding it puppy food is the size of your baby. Most pups fed on regular dog food are going to be around 7-8# at 6 weeks. Puppies raised on really good food are going to be 9-13# at 6 weeks. This is speaking from experience with mine and My Daughters puppies on Holistic food and all that I feed my puppies.

AtSix Weeks Of Age: (Dogs take over and are about 2 oz. heavier). ******* 8 Lbs. 2 oz. Dogs weigh 8 Lbs. 4 oz.

At Eight Weeks Of Age: Difference is often as much as 1/2 Lbs. Bitches12 Lbs. Dogs 12 1/2 Lbs.

By contrast, antibiotic translates as “against life.” In there quest for annihilation, antibiotics destroy good microbes along with the bad ones.
All dogs can benefit from regular supplementation with probiotics to help maintain a healthy gut, according to Thomason.
“Probiotics are the body’s first line of defense against all the potentially harmful microorganisms: inhaled or ingested, Thomason says.
“Think of them as a mighty bacterial army that defends the body against dangerous invaders. Having sufficient numbers of these friendly bacteria will help prevent a wide range of health problems. “
Probiotics reduce cholesterol levels, blood pressure, yeast growth, and toxin levels, and improve lactose tolerance, good digestion and nutrient absorption, Thomason says.
There are no contraindications for adding probiotics to a dog’s diet. “In some dongs, it may cause a little gas in the beginning.” Thomason says. “but that is actually rare.”
Not all probiotics are created equal. That old standby- a dollop of yogurt - is probably not your best choice. “Dogs lack the digestive enzymes to properly utilize dairy products.” Thomason says. “and most yogurt is pasteurized, which is a process that kills bacteria- both good and bad. “
Ditto for freeze -dried probiotics because processing can weaken the bacteria, as can the addition of stabilizers and preservatives.
Instead, go for live bacteria supplementation. The packaging should indicate that the probiotics are in live form and contain a mixture of more than one strain of bacteria, such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria. Also check the use by date. The longer a product is on the shelf, the fewer live bacteria will survive.

Yogurt
Yogurt is really good for your dog. A container of Yogurt a day is recommended by Star's vet.

5 Dangerous Pet Food Ingredients
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires that all ingredients be listed on pet food labels. However, an instance like that which occurred in 2007 cannot be prevented by simply examining food labels. What you can do is pay close attention to the ingredients in your pet’s food in order to prevent and future problems. Here, a list of five ingredients you may not your critter consuming.

Salt. Just like in humans, salt is known to cause kidney and heart disease as well as high blood pressure in animals. What’s more, salt can also be used to cover up rancid meat in pet food.

Meat and Bone. Buyer beware of finding “meat and bone” in the ingredient listing. According to the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO), animal parts can be obtained from any source, including “4-D animals” (dead, diseased, disabled, or dying prior to slaughter). It can also include decomposed tissue and cancerous tissue.

“By-Product Meal” By definition, by-product meal consists of the ground portions of beef, pork, or poultry that is not the clean meat. By-product meal can be composed of necks, intestines, intestines, snouts, organs, undeveloped eggs, bone, and feet.

Tetra Sodium Pyrophosphate (TSP). Traditionally used in rust remover in various cleaning products, TSP can cause nausea and diarrhea. The chemical is used in pet food for the emulsification of animal fats

Human Painkillers Although it may sound unbelievable, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) reports that acetaminophen has been found in some brands of pet food. According to the ASPCA, acetaminophen is known to cause swelling of the face and paws, depression, weakness, and difficulty breaking in cats. Dogs are less affected.

They only had one of the blue Buffalo they graded. Each of Blue Buffalo's

This Litter and parents are in a study being done by the University of Saskatchewan on coat colors. Part of my dogs have gone thru testing at U of C Davis. There not classified as Albino. They called them Blond.
They are not albino. If you don't like the Creams don't look.And don't send me
trash emails. My dogs have been tested and there is not a thing wrong with them. Some people love gods creations.
And God does not make mistakes. Man does by in breeding.

Hello my name is Michaelene , and I have had and raised Dobermans most all my life. Since the early 1970's. My Daughter Dalene and Son in Law Jessie and Granddaughter Amy have Dobermans as well from my stock. This is our gang below. All are house baby's at both place's. Indoor/Outdoor.
It is there choice as they have there own doors to the house's. We all live together under one roof.Just one happy family. They have over an acre to play in at my home and 2 acres at J & D's. I do have 3 very Big yards that they sometimes get separated in. Especially when a female is in heat.We have underground fence system & Zones/Guardians . All our babies have been trained well. Sometimes now the collars get put on but don't even have to be turned on. There has been an addition added on that is called the dog condo. A house that is geared strictly for the kids when I am not at home.It has heat and air. Food and water inside, 3 bedrooms, and a loft in one room. 2 Dog doors so we can come and go as we please. 3rd door to be installed if and when unit is separated It has a separate yard that can be used for pups that are over 8 weeks old. So they can get out of the main house and run and play in the sun. There is a dog door so they can come into the condo as well. Currently we have 3 males. Thor stays around the corner with Jessie and Dalene most of the time now. But they all visit back and forth since were just around the corner from each other. And Athena now belongs to Jessie. As he has wanted her since she was a puppy and she loves him. She was his Fathers day gift for 2009. For people that don't like to see them in crates and small pens, I like the underground fence and Zones. Once there trained to them all you need is the beep and they stay back from the borders. And when they have learned there boundaries sometimes they don't even get turned on. Just depends on how well you train your baby. Dobermans are exceptionally smart and learn really fast. My brother taught his dobermans to stay behind a wire that was only about 10" off the ground. Like any dog they can be trained to do about anything if you only take the time to do it. And Dobermans are so smart it does not take long to teach them. That's one of the reasons there used in movies. Because of there train-ability.

The females for most part get along. But Sasha is Queen and rules the Roost at my house and does not hesitate to let anyone know it. Her bite is worse than her bark. But as with all dogs of all breeds you will have the occasional fight. That is just nature. Just like humans. And Sheba is Queen and rules at J & D's. I have had most of my Creams, coat color tested as there so dark.Becky at U of C Davis referred
to them as blond. Currently some of our dogs are undergoing study's with a Canadian Group on Coat
colors. They are not Albino.

My Daughter Dalene and her family, Jessie and Amy live right around the corner from me. They have Sheba, Freya, Athena and Loki at there home. They have 2 acres fenced for the guys. Mine go over and visit them and they come and visit here.

Loki likes to lay out full stretch and he takes up a full twin mattress so he generally sleeps on the couch anymore. LOL> Kimber is just getting used to the crowd. She rotates between the bed and floor in the bathroom now. And I squeeze in where I can and they move around me. Willow is not sleeping on the bed. She is small enough now she sleeps in the upper corner. Pandora sleeps in her crate till fully house trained.
Never need a blanket with there heat. LOL . And I would not have it any other way. I love my guys. Right now I have a queen and twin side by side.
I need a bigger bedroom to set up the other queen for more room. LOL>

There are pitfalls to Buying and Selling both. This page is so that people out there will know just what can happen when they are buying or selling. Because of everyone being sue happy no one can say don't buy from a particular breeder or sell to a particular buyer by full name, even if you have had a bad experience with a particular Breeder or Buyer.Even if you have seen the abuse or problem first hand. But you can post a first or last name & photo's if you have them and give the town and state, and tell about your experience with a Breeder or Buyer as long as you do not name the Breeder or Buyer by first and last name.You can only use one or the other. You may send me any pics or documentation you have on a breeder or buyer along with a statement of what happened and I will see about getting it posted for you.
This page was created to help people stay away from Buyers & Breeders that are known thru personal experience to not take care of there animals in a proper fashion. Or have misled the buyer with false photo's and info on the puppies.

For a Breeder it is Breeders that do not do there worming's, shots, feeding a quality food to produce good puppies and not starved looking pups or sick puppies. Or live in filthy conditions in pens or cages or on chains. Breeders that are inbreeding or overbreeding. Breeders that will not stand behind the puppies they sell if they have a bone defect or disease that is diagnosed within the first 6 months of age.Breeders that misrepresent there pups for sale & or use false photo's to sell a pup. Breeders that sell sick pups.

For a Buyer it is people that mistreat there dogs, put them on chains or in pens and in general do not provide them with good living conditions. People that leave them out in the cold or heat no shelter etc...... People that use them in Puppy Mills and Brokers are also included. The Situation is a puppy mill Breeder. Run by a Negro. All the dogs are in cages in a back yard. I would estimate some 30+ dogs of all large breeds. Some of the *****'s looked way over bred. Thin and dull coats.The pens were on concrete,had a dog house and water bowl and that was it. The dobermans to me were very sad looking. Ribs showing. He had an Albino that should never be bred as she had a bleed thru condition.Blood oozing thru the skin like ink. They had dobermans and was the reason I visited this place. But I did not know it was puppy mill till I got there.I was appalled at the situation when I visited this place and saw the dogs. When talking to my vet about this Breeder she stated she would not talk about this person and made her opinion quite clear about his kennel.

Upon taking this pup to Dr. Zeek in Phenix City She stated he had a yeast infection in his ears, He was wormy, had a tender stomach and to watch him for Bloat as he was a bit bloated at time of exam. His rump area was eat up with fleas not much hair left on rump.His coat was dull and he stunk. She stated that her opinion was he was a kennel dog from his looks and smell. He was given Capstar for fleas, put on vitamins, wormed with Drontal which she said was a hefty wormer and would get them all, meds given for ear infection. She Stated if we (meaning her and I) got him thru all that was wrong him him that she felt he would be a very good dog. She stated that his size at time of exam and age that he was probably out of German lines somewhere in his background. And that he would be a large dog when fully grown. Because of his condition she questioned his vet records and Upon contacting the supposed vet on the booklet the seller provided we were informed that they had never seen this pup. No vet exam, no health certificate, they had never given any shots or checked this puppy at all. Tho both things were mentioned in the ad. In trying to contact the seller the emails were never answered. Pictures of Parents that she stated she would send never arrived. 3 months after his pictures were posted on my website on msn I was contacted by a woman in Penn. She asked about the picture of him as a pup and stated to me that it was the same picture that she had received of a female pup that she bought. When we compared Pedigrees we found the pups were from the same breeder. Same sire, different Dams. But the same photo was used to sell both male and female and pups from 2 different litters. Just a couple months ago a woman in Lower Al. that I was dealing with on a white dog told me about this breeder in Midway. Warning me to stay away from any dogs coming from there. When asked why she said she had been there and it was a bad situation.She stated it was a Puppy Mill and a very bad one. She told me more but suffice it to say had I talked to her last year I would never have dealt with this breeder

I was going to get a couple of pups from this person till I received these pictures from and emails from 2 other buyers detailing there problems with the pups that had been bought from this particular breeder. One was for me and the other was a gift for son in law.
This supposed breeder does not worm, give shots or feed the pups what is needed to produce good quality pups.
Below are pictures sent to me by buyers of pups from this person. Along with some statements from them.
First little girl this is her upon receipt of pup. note how she is standing on the back of her feet and not up on the toes like normal. According to buyer her legs were bowed too. She has Rickets, Coccidia, So wormy it was unreal. This is some of what came out of her on first treatment. she was 4-5# at 5 weeks about half the weight she should have been. Quote from Buyer of above pup. " I was hurt and peeed off when I saw the little girl, she was dirty, skinny, has rickets, fleas and worms were eating her up. Attached is a picture of some of the worms I got from her to remind me to always take care of my pups even the smallest detail. She was supposed to have been the biggest out of the litter, well if that was the case I would have hated to seen her litter mates. She weighed 4.5 to 5 lbs when I got her at 6 weeks old on She had not received any worming nor any vaccine’s not even her first pup shot. I forgot to tell you in the other e-mail that you may have to have your pups’ tail re-docked as I have to have her tail redone. Also I hope you get your AKC papers with them because I haven’t gotten mine yet and I’ve had her going on a month on the 15th of this month"

Second Buyer of pups has stated that all the pups she bought and she bought them cause she felt sorry for them. Said they were flea ridden. Skinny beyond belief. In a living situation that was intolerable to her. This is a picture of little male Very Malnutrition-ed.Ribs showing badly,shoulder blade bones very visible. And listless looking. Vet said this puppy had Coccidia, was full of worms. Fleas were awful on pups. So far pup has been treated 3 times for Coccidia they were that bad in his little system. As well as his sisters. Pups can be brought back up from Cocidia but it stays with them for life according to my vet. Dr. BlackMar. They will get well but there bones are weakened from it. One pup developed a deformity at about 9 weeks. Seller refused to take pup back. Would not stand behind his pups. Refused to return calls. Had to keep at Paul to get the AKC papers. Finally got papers at about 9 months of age.

pass this name on. johna breeds her dog every heat. pups and mother always outside, no matter the weather. will tell you anything to buy a breeding pup. will even buy limit and then reg. ckc and breed the dog. she is real pissed at me right now as i won't sell to her . did once along time ago before i did breach of contracts. cried alot of nights over it. thank god the female she got from me died last week at the young age of 4yrs.

This person bred the pup on first heat. Was not in condition to have pups and lost all. Said person bred female on next heat and again lost all pups. she continued to do this. And continued to loose the pups. Female was in really bad shape. It is a blessing that she is now in heaven with god where she is loved and cared for like she should be.

Marianna, FL (or Atlanta, GA) lady named Paula. Purchased an 8 wk old pup from a breeder only to return it 3 wks later "because she could not train it". Bought another pup just 6 days after returning first pup. The 2nd pup was turned over to Rescue at the age of 8 months with claims she was moving and could not take the dog with her (breeder was not offered first refusal). She is once again looking for another pup. She told the 2nd breeder she still had the dog and was looking for a companion for her. She has constantly lied to both breeders. This is NOT a good home for a Doberman. Her previous actions speak for them self. Seller Beware..... put it in your written agreement that pup must be returned to you if they cannot keep it.

The dobie is mean to my poodles and they are old. my girl friend told me about her. she came here once. all mine where sold. she had called me a couple times complaining about the pups she had bought and then gotten rid of. I told her to make a choice, Poodles or Dobermans.But I would not sell to her.

Ladies name is Melody, I purchased a female pup from her. Upon my vet checking her found that she had cocidia the vet treated her and she is fine now. I called to let Melody know about the pups condition and could never get her on the phone. After she got her money never spoke to her again, even tho I called several times. She was always sleeping I was told.

Mrs. Nickleson was supposed to have shipped a pup to me on a specific date. Pup not received
called and got the excuse that puppy was sick. Tried contacting several times more and no
one would answer the calls. Left messages. Finally reached her and got another excuse why pup had still not been shipped.Finally got tired of the song and dance and told her I wanted my money back. She said I would have to wait till she resold the puppy. (I had paid $1000 up front. )I told her was not my fault that pup was not delivered and that I was no longer interested in her dogs. She finally agreed to send my money back. Did not get it and tried calling,no answer. Left messages Finally talked to her again got a lame excuse as to why she had not sent it. Said she would. Still have not received my money. Giving her 2 more days then Next step will be calling pay pal. After a few months and numerous calls & emails finally received my money back from this breeder. Thank God for Pay Pal.

Breeders name W.R.Wilson Upon getting puppy it looked really bad. Upon taking puppy to vet for well puppy exam. Found that it had worms bad. Hookworms, Roundworms and Coccidia. Was not well cared for. Given meds and treatment instructions from my vet to take care of the puppy. Contacted Michaelene to see what I could do to bring the puppy up as she was very tiny and underweight according to my vet. Put her on a good diet and her meds. Had to treat second time as she was so bad. Tried many times to contact the breeder to tell her about the pups condition but she would never take my calls.

We bought from Miss Crumpton in Maplesville Al. I just wanted to let you know that our dog has demodectic mange,2 kinds of worms. She weighed only 4# when we got her, the vet said she was so dehydrated and skinny she didnt know if she would live. The mange cost us 40 dollars every two weeks, plus antobiotics and other charges, skin scrapes, etc, she has been dipped 4 times so far, and another dip friday, she has cleared up alot now. luckily ours was frontal mange and not whole body mange like the other pups I have spoken to four other people that bought from different litters and parents of Sheree's Dobie's and all have full demodectic mange and a couple of the pups had parvo when they were taken for their first vet visit. One girl told me that Sheree would replace the parvo pup and when they went to Sheree's house her dogs were kept in 10X10 kennels and the studs were kept on 5 ft chains, she said the dogs had been breed so much that they didnt even look like Dobies, they were skinny and tired looking. She owes us money and papers for our dog that she has never sent to us also. I know you cannot do anything about this, but i wanted to make the Dobie community aware of this lady and her predatory business practices. We will be contacting the attorney general in her city to see if charges can be brought against her, our 5 month pup has had more in medical bills than the 650.00 it cost to purchase her.

with proper feed and care pup should be ok.

This shows even with good intentions as I have had several emails from this person stating she was feeding her and did care. Which I cannot say she did not. But from her looks is all I can go by. If the food is not good your pup can starve. And if you can't afford the vet care for worming,shots,fleas,heartworms and anything else that comes up don't buy it. The one that suffers is the little soul for they cannot take care of them selves and they can't tell you there starving because the food your feeding is no good. Or that they have worms of fleas or coccidia or any other disease or parasite that might come along.

Location of Bad breeder is Marble Hill Missouri. A Miss Horman raises the pups outside no
shelter. Upon visiting this breeder said dogs were in kennels and looked starving. Some puppies very
malnutritioned. This party is known for loosing a lot of pups. Has been turned in numerous times.
Selling pups that are sick and end up dying. Has had numerous complaints filed about sick and
dying pups being sold.

TheHSUS also foundthat several Petland stores were still buying from some of the facilities that we clearly named and exposed as part of our initial Petland investigation in November, including MAM (Mike and Melanie Moore's) Kennels in Missouri and Charlene Koster's kennel in Kansas—puppy mills where more than 100 dogs were filmed running back and forth in small wire cages. The investigation foundat least two Petland stores in Florida still buying puppies from the facilityassociated withKathy Bauck in New York Mills, Minn. Bauck was convicted of three counts of animal torture and one count of animal abuse in March 2009, the same month that the East Orlando Petland store purchased several puppies from her facility. Health certificate documents show that the Largo Florida Petland store also purchased at least one puppy from Bauck's kennel in February 2009. "We even found two stores buying from a convicted animal abuser, and others buying from individuals who have a long history of Animal Welfare Act violations, or who hold no USDA license at all. But even licensed and legal commercial kennels can still be puppy mills, where 100 or more breeding dogs have been found confined to small wire cages for life. Since the original Petland investigation was released in November, a consumer lawsuit has been filed against Petland, and more than 600 former Petland customers have contacted The HSUS to tell their heartbreaking stories.

In Dec 2009 Mrs.C.L.Cox was supposed to pay for her pup thru Money Gram. Instead she sent a
check without asking. Upon running the check it bounced. She emailed on the 8th saying it cleared and asking
for Paperwork on Pup named Dozer. On the 9th it bounced. Conclusion she lied about the check clearing.

Upon sending he a copy of said check and showing her it had bounced she claimed bank error.
On Dec 17 Bank was contacted and Coleen was spoken with to see if funds were available for said check.
Funds were not available I was advised. On Dec 18th Bank was called again after Mrs Cox claimed bank Error.
Janie had no knowledge of such error and again advised not to run the check.
It took the threat of Repo of pup and lawyer involvement to get my money from this woman. And she sent contract back without signature so paperwork is still pending upon receiving the contracts back as of 12/19/2009
On Dec 19th I finally got my Money thru Money Gram after much hassle.

I have tried gathering a lot of info from different source's and bring them into one area. You will find many outside links on info that people want to know. And instead of searching site after site I have tried bringing a lot of the info to one site. So as to help those that are looking for info but don't have to time to spend searching long and hard. If I help one person I have done my job. And if you have a question that you may not find an answer to feel free to email me at mijnschatjedobermans@ctvea.net and I will try to help you.

I have had reds & blacks most of my life. Now I have Blues ,Creams(Whites) Fawn & Black. You will see a lot of negative out there on the Whites and Blues and the occasional jab at the fawn. I strive to better the breed. Especially the WZ lines (white). As I feel they are being persecuted unjustly. I do not inbreed. In my studies and talking with my vet and geneticist if you have a good background in your Whites or Creams doing a white to white breeding will not create problems. You can breed white to white if you know what color your whites are masking. I have had my Creams coat color tested by U of D Calif. They have called them Blond.There not Albino. And they state they do not know how the color has come about from there testing. I also have puppies and Parents in a study with the University of Saskatchewan who has been studying the White or Cream Doberman and the genetics for 3 years. Just breeding in of other colors and lines will change the dog. It only takes about 10 years to change the makeup of a breed for color, shape,size, according to studies done. And once you are 2 generations away the point is moot.In my searches and studies I have learned a lot. Some fact some fiction. But one thing I know from experience is that My Creams are just as good as any color I have owned. And I call them Cream because that is what mine are. They are not White. They are Cream color with White markings. I have not had aggression problems as some would like you to believe. I have had no skin or coat problems. And they can see just fine. All dogs squint in the bright sun. Some more than others. As do I. The bright light bothers my eyes.And I have brown eyes. Do you wear sun glass's? Get my point? Well why should we think our babies would be any different. My colored dogs even squint in the bright light to some degree. My Creams love laying in the sun on my deck. And they have never burned. There coats are just as thick or thicker than my Beloved Star and Sonja who were Red/Rust or my Beloved Bullet who was Black. There hearing is excellent. So do I see a difference in them? No I do not. They have trained just as easily as any other doberman I have raised.
This is not to say that you will not find whites or creams with problems. You will find whites that have problems if there breeding has been done wrong. By wrong I mean inbreeding and not watching what the lines and colors are like in the breeding's. They have not looked at the genetics of the dogs. Or by over breeding a female and having a weakened immune system and therefore producing a pup with a weakened immune system & or other problems. But you can also find Blacks, Reds, Fawns, & Blues that have problems just because a breeder did not think to look at what was in the background. Or to allow the female to rest between breeding's. So as to build the system back up to where it needs to be for another litter of good puppies. A breeder that cares about the dog will look at the overall. A breeder that is in it for the money will breed anything to anything. They don't care as long as they get pups to sell looking for that almighty dollar at the expense of the dog.

You will read a lot of negative about the Blues also. Yes some will have problems but most will not if there cared for right which includes the food that your feeding them, and you watch the breeding that you get them from. My Blues have no problems. They have good full coats and are beautiful dogs. I have talked with some that have hair problems, and in my research I have found that breeding has a lot to do with the coat problems as well as the food. Not just in the Blues but in the other colors as well. But we cannot blame breeding for everything. How you feed and care for your dog has a lot to do with how they will do. If you feed them just standard dry dog food there not going to get the things they need for there internal and external health. To learn more about feeding go to Dog Food, Know what your feeding your pet. And just like you or I they do need there vitamins and supplements to be there very best.

That's why I use Nu-Vet supplements

Take the fawns for example. If your not careful in your breeding of the fawns you can get dogs that have what is called Hogs hair. And just as it implies the hair is short and bristly just like a hog. You can get this by breeding fawn to fawn and white masking fawn to a fawn. From what I was told by someone that went to school and studied this area you can have 1/4 or more of your litter come out with hog hair if you breed wrong. So make sure you look at your background of the puppy you buy or if your breeding watch the background colors. Be a responsible dog owner and breeder.

Dobermans are a kind and sensitive breed, eager to please and easy to motivate. They find praise and petting an excellent reward for doing a good job. Sometimes they can be clowns. They love to run, play,wrestle, chase a ball or Frisbee. They will do just about anything you ask of them. They can entertain themselves without getting in trouble, if they have been taught what they are allowed to play with and what there not. They do well in packs, pairs or singles so long as their human family becomes part of their "pack." They will have there pecking order. You will have the Alpha dog that rules the rest of them. They are so much fun to have. You can't help but love them.They are very affectionate dogs, and will demand your personal attention if you don't volunteer it. And they can be very jealous of your time.They come to want the same things you want, and look forward to your routine. They will not be like the hound dog that just lays on the front porch bark at strangers and wags there tail. They want a job. They want to please you. They have a look to them that keeps the "bad guys" away. But they have to be trained to become a real protection dog they don't just know how. They are not mean vicious dogs by nature. But they can be trained that way.

I have had numerous people ask if you can register a white or show them. Yes a white can be registered. The AKC has absolutely no problem with registering them. And as to showing. Yes you can show a white in AKC Companion events including obedience, agility, rally and tracking.Altho your going to get a lot of flack from the DPCA crowd. So you better have tuff skin if you want to show a white. I have also had people tell me that you can not show a WZ dog. Not true. You most certainly can. I specifically contacted the AKC and asked the question about showing and this is the response that I got.
Hello,
A WZ registration number does not in and of itself disqualify a dog from any competition. If the dog is of an acceptable color for conformation competition, the dog would be eligible. The judge does not review the catalog and would not be aware of the WZ number; but you may receive some input from other exhibitors who, in their opinion, find disfavor with exhibiting dogs carrying the Z factor. Dogs who are actually a disqualifying color are eligible to compete in AKC Companion events including obedience, agility, rally and tracking.

So I hope that this helps answer a few questions about the Z factor and Registration and showing.I don't know how many times I have seen on someones site or in a blog or site that talks about dogs the words you cannot register a white or you cannot show a white/Cream. They need to get there facts straight before spouting off. If you have questions go to AKC.Org and ask. They are very swift in getting back to you. I know, I ask a lot when I can't find the info I am looking for.

By Quality Breeders I mean Breeders that care about the Dogs and making the bloodlines better and not just doing it to make money. These Breeders are the ones that worm there pups like there supposed to , give them there shots like there supposed to, Feed them good Quality food and turn out some beautiful pups. Breeders that breed once a year and don't run there females into the ground .That have there dogs tested prior to breeding to make sure your not passing or getting any dogie disease's. Breeders that will stand behind there pups they sell. I welcome Quality Breeders. If it is found to be that you do not raise your dogs by the proper standard then you will be asked to leave or banned. This is a website to have fun learn things make friends and just enjoy yourself. No Bashing of other breeders or people will be allowed. No bashing of any colors or practice's. Each and every breeder is going to do things differently. You can ask questions but don't put someone down for what they do just because you may not agree with them. We each look at things differently. A big contention seems to be in the whites. If you don't like the whites don't join my website. Plain and simple because most all of us here have whites and love them and know for a fact what there like and what they can and can't tolerate etc... So don't come and try and tell us about our dogs. We know them a whole lot better than you do.

I do personally have whites & blues that have white to white breeding in there backgrounds. They are the most loving and gentle dogs. I have met the parents of my whites and blues and they were very well behaved and nice dogs. And you will find in most all dogs you will have line breeding to some extent. As to Champion Lines. If your dog is a WZ he will have Champions in his bloodline as the first whites came from Champion dogs. Tho they may be some years back your dog more than likely has some good champions way back there. Just food for thought for you.

I have raised Husky's, Dalmatian's, Shepard's and Dobermans in my lifetime. And Siamese cats. I bred to improve the breeds. Not just to have puppies to sell. Now I breed Dobermans only. I am not a big Breeder. Until now I had just a couple of females at a time. Now I have 5. But I still only have a couple 3 litters a year. I don't like to breed my females till the second heat ideally. But if there over a year and full size it is safe to do so if the female is in top shape. I feel no female should be bred more than once a year. Under normal circumstances. But in discussing with my vet if your female is in good shape doing a back to back is OK if you skip the next heat. As in the wild they breed each heat. And if you have a female that is prone to false pregnancy's. A back to back is recommended, then a year off. Sometimes there are exceptions and sometimes you have an oops but all in all once a year gives you better quality pups and a better momma dog. But sometimes a back to back and then a year layoff is good. It all depends on how your female is health wise. How you feed and care for them has a lot to do with whether you would do a back to back. Our Dobermans are like our children. They live in the home with us, they eat with us, and we play a lot. There are no pens or cages in my house. They have free run of the house. I do have a super large puppy area that is attached to my house also by it's own dog door. My Zues goes with me everywhere. Even to work. Thor is learning to be my go with companion. And Zaria is now in training to be my go companion too.She is over a year old.She enjoys going to work with me & Zues. They get to meet new people and new things everyday out. Our babies are raised on Holistic Food. And food that I cook for them. Because they need good food with good ingredients. Not fillers and by products. And it is cheaper to cook for your baby than to buy canned. They need there fruits and veggies just like you and I do.They need there vitamins,minerals and herbs just like you and I. AKC Registered White Thor's White Lightening , Selene ll MijnSchatje Sunshine Moon ,Sasha's Creamy White Zaria daughter of Sasha and Loki & MijnSchatje Sweet Creamy Isis daughter of Zaria and Zues. All have Phantom bloodlines. 1 AKC Fawn/Rust (Isabella) male Loki's Dream (wz). 1 AKC Blue/Tan Sweet Dar-Keela Dream daughter of Sasha and Loki and 1 Black/Rust MijnSchatje Maximum Kimber Rose. My daughter & Son in law have a 1 AKC Blue/Rust female Babes Blue Sheba Girl (WZ) Sister to Zues and Sasha. 1 AKC registered white Athena's Snow Dream (wz) sister to Thor. Phantom Bloodlines also. And they kept 2 pups from Sheba & Clydeo's first litter,a Black/Rust female Freya the Charmed One & a Black/Tan female Blacktie the Love Bug. I hope someday to breed Cream/Whites. As you can tell from my babies I have fallen in love with the Creams. LOL>> I have researched them for about 2 years now and find that they truly are just as good as any other color. Mine are Cream color with white markings where the rust or tan markings would be and beautiful blue eyes. And there just lovely dogs.They are no different that I see than any Doberman I have ever raised.I have no skin coat problems,or any other problems with them. But that is all in how you care for your dog. Currently I am having my Creams coat color tested at University of Davis Calif. As there color is such a golden color. And I have produced a couple of very dark Cream pups. Some people like the snow white doberman but I personally love the Cream.
With the help of some wonderful breeders of whites & Colored dogs like Darlene& Ike , I am learning more each day about them. And hope to improve the whites thru breeding in good bloodlines. All our dogs are AKC registered. vWD tested. And will be OFA tested when old enough. Age varies by state for OFA testing. Our babies have the run of the house and land.They all run together there are no pens of any kind they stay in. If needed I have separate yards but as of now the gates are open between the 3 yards about an acre of land to run & play in. I do have a kennel run for when a female comes in heat. But I have my boys trained pretty well and only have to use it when I am not at home. I have trained my males to the Zone and I put a Zone on my females. put the collars on my males and they stay away from the females. It is working great. Otherwise I just close a gate and separate my boys and girls. Dobermans are a special breed of Dog.They're very smart and fast learners. Raised right they are the greatest with kids. They are so loving & loyal given the right home and conditions. And they remember things done to them or for them. They have earned a bad rep that they do not deserve. But mainly because of abuse to them and then they have turned trying to defend themselves or they have been trained to be mean and vicious. A doberman is not born vicious. Before purchasing a Doberman, ask yourself what quality of life he would have with you and your family .Do you have a fenced yard where they can run & play? Dobermans are a very high energy dog. We like to see them have a home in which they will be treated like a family member. Spend time with your Doberman, train him, take him places, let him be a part of your life & family . Learn about him/her, likes & dislikes.This is what we want for all of our puppies.A good loving home. Not a kennel or pen or chain. . Dog Coats & Colour inheritance

Dogs diverged from a now-extinct Asian wolf between 12,000 and 15,000 years ago, according to recent DNA studies. In that time, the long nose and heavy grey-colored double coat of the wolf has changed into the wide variety of dog shapes and coats and colors seen today. The change was due at first to genetic changes that occurred as the original dogs learned to tolerate the presence of humans, as shown in the research on foxes by Dmitri Belyaev in his Farm-Fox Experiment. The research found that a genetic change to tameness brought along other unexpected changes as well; one notable change was in the coats, changed from a typical fox coat to a spotted coat resembling a dog's coat. As ancient dogs learned to live near humans and became less like wolves, their appearance changed as well, long before any selective breeding was done by people A Stanford University School of Medicine study published in Science in October, 2007 found the genetics that explain coat colors in other mammals such as in horse coats and in cat coats, did not apply to dogs. The project took samples from 38 different breeds to find the gene (a beta defensin gene) responsible for dog coat color. One version produces yellow dogs, and a mutation produces black. All dog coat colors are modifications of black or yellow.For example, the white in white miniature schnauzers is a cream color, not albinism (a genotype of e/e at MC1R.)

Over the 15,000 year span that the dog had been domesticated, it diverged into only a handful of landraces, groups of similar animals whose morphology and behavior have been shaped by environmental factors and functional roles. As the modern understanding of genetics developed, humans began to intentionally breed dogs for a wide range of specific traits. Through this process, the dog has developed into hundreds of varied breeds, and shows more behavioral and morphological variation than any other land mammal. For example, height measured to the withers ranges from a few inches in the Chihuahua to a few feet in the Irish Wolfhound; color varies from white through grays (usually called "blue'") to black, and browns from light (tan) to dark ("red" or "chocolate") in a wide variation of patterns; coats can be short or long, coarse-haired to wool-like, straight, curly, or smooth. It is common for most breeds to shed this coat, but non-shedding breeds are also popular.

Yellow—yellowish-gold tan, as in a yellow Labrador Retriever—and its variants, including blond and lemon. Lemon is a very pale yellow or wheaten colour which is not present at birth (the puppies are born white) but gradually becomes apparent, usually during the first six months of life.

Cream: Sometimes it's hard to define the line between pale yellow and cream. Depending on the breed and individual, cream ranges from white through ivory and blond, often occurring with or beneath lemon, yellow, and sable.

Now if you look at these 2 above and look at some of our Creams why does everyone throw
such a fit about there color?
And since the Weimaraner is one of the dogs used in making the Doberman think about this.

The breed is believed to have been created from several different breeds of dogs that had the characteristics that Dobermann was looking for, including the Pinscher, the Beauceron, the Rottweiler, the Thuringian Sylvan Dog, the black Greyhound, the Great Dane, the Weimaraner, the German Shorthaired Pointer, the Manchester Terrier and the old German Shepherd Dog - now extinct. The exact ratios of mixing, and even the exact breeds that were used, remains uncertain to this day, although many experts believe that the Doberman Pinscher is a combination of at least four of these breeds.
Now which 4 or more is in a Doberman. And what all color possibilities can we have. In the beginning how
many color's might there have been while they were trying to get there perfect dog. How many
puppies of the wrong color were killed trying to get there perfect dog ? We will never know.
Coat and color

This breed's short and very smooth gray coat and its unusual eyes give it a regal appearance different from any other breed. However, the breed has been deemed very similar to the Vizsla even though it is a much older breed. The eyes of the Weimaraner may be light amber, gray, or blue-gray. The coat may range from charcoal-blue to mouse-gray to silver-gray, it has been elegantly described as "moonlight on chocolate". Where the fur is thin or non-existent, inside the ears or on the lips, for example, the skin should be a pinkish tone rather than white or black. The silvery-gray colour is rare in dogs and is the result of breeding for a recessive gene. It has also lent the breed the nickname 'silver ghost' or 'gray ghost.' The coat is extremely low maintenance; it is short, hard, and smooth to the touch. According to the American Kennel Club (AKC) standard, a distinctly blue or black coat is an automatic disqualification, though a small white marking in the chest area only is permitted. However, dogs with blue coats are not disqualified from field competition and are recognized as purebred Weimaraners by the AKC. There is another variety that occurs now and then, the 'mark of the hound', where the dog is the usual gray color, with feint tan markings (similar to Doberman). It's said that early in the breed this was a common color that was selectively bred out and suggests that the color is indeed a black dilution.So this is where the Silver Blue Doberman could be comming from. And as in the Weimaraner they are rare.
And they are beautiful.

Brown Chesapeake Bay Retriever		Brown and its variants, including mahogany, midtone brown, gray-brown, blackish brown; the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, whose colour "must be as nearly that of its working surroundings as possible", also uses the terms sedge and deadgrass.
Red Irish Setter	Dark chocolate Australian Kelpie	Red—reminiscent of reddish woods such as cherry or mahogany—and its variants, including chestnut, tawny, orange, roan, rust, red-gold, reddish brown, bronze, cinnamon, tan, ruby; also includes liver, a reddish brown somewhat the colour of cinnamon or bronze; the breed often determines whether "liver", "chocolate", "brown", or "red" is used to describe the colour, as in a liver German Shorthaired Pointer or a chocolate Labrador Retriever.
Apricot Poodle	Dark Golden Retriever	Gold Rich reddish-yellow, as in a Golden Retriever, and its variants, including yellow-gold, lion-coloured, fawn, apricot, wheaten (pale yellow or fawn, like the colour of ripe wheat), tawny, straw, yellow-red, mustard, sandy, honey.

Black Newfoundland	Black Labrador Retriever	Black: Usually pure black but sometimes grizzled, particularly as dogs age and develop white hairs, usually around the muzzle.
Kerry Blue Terriers	Blue merle Australian Shepherd	Blue: Not the rainbow's blue but rather a dark metallic gray, often as a blue merle or speckled (with black). Kerry Blue Terriers, Australian Silky Terriers, Bearded Collies, and Australian Shepherds are among many breeds that come in blue.
Silver gray Weimaraner	Salt and pepper gray Miniature Schnauzer	Gray—sometimes also called blue—and its variants, including pale to dark gray, silver, pepper, grizzle, slate, blue-black gray, black and silver, steel, lavender, silver-fawn.
White American Eskimo Dog	White Bichon Frisé	White: Such a light cream that it is seen and described as pure white, making them distinct from albino dogs. A white dog, as opposed to an albino one, has dark pigment around the eye rims and nose, often coupled with dark-coloured eyes. There is often some coat identifiable as cream between the dog's shoulder blades.

Patterns

Patterns, like colours, might be called by different terms for different breeds.

Liver and tan Australian Kelpie	Black and Tan Coonhound	Black and tan, liver and tan, blue and tan: Coat has both colours but in clearly defined and separated areas, usually with the darker colour on most of the body and tan (reddish variants) underneath and in highlights such as the eyebrows. Black and brindle and liver and brindle, in which the same pattern is evident with brindling in place of tan, are also possible, but less common.
Black and white Border Collie	Blenheim (Red-brown and white) Cavalier King Charles Spaniel	Bicolor (also called Two-color, Irish spotted, Flashy, Patched, Tuxedo) Any color or pattern coupled with white spotting. This can range anywhere from white toes and tail tip to a mostly-white dog with color around the base of the ears and tail. Some breeds have special names for the colour combinations; for example, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel uses Blenheim for reddish brown (chestnut) and white. Irish Spotted or flashy pattern is symmetrical and includes a white chest, white band around the neck, white belly, and white feet or "boots." This pattern is commonly seen in herding dogs, and Boxers, among others.
Black tricolour Entlebucher Mountain Dog	Tricolour Beagle	Tricolour: Three clearly defined colours, usually either black, liver, or blue on the dog's upper parts, white underneath, with a tan border between and tan highlights; for example, the Smooth Collie or the Sheltie. Tricolour can also refer to a dog whose coat is patched, usually two colours (such as black and tan) on a white background.
Blue merle tricolour Australian Shepherd	Red merle Catahoula Leopard Dogs	Merle: Marbled coat with darker patches and spots of the specified colour. Merle is referred to as "Dapple" with Dachshunds.
Tuxedo mixed-breed dog		Tuxedo: Solid (usually black) with a white patch (shirt front) on the chest and chin, and white on some or all of the feet (spats.) Common colouration in Labrador mixes that may stem from the St. John's Water Dog ancestral breed.
Harlequin Great Dane		Harlequin: "ripped" sploches of black on white. Only the Great Dane exhibits this coat pattern.
Spotted Dalmatian		Spotted Most often dark pigmented spots on a light background. The spotting on dalmations is unique as it involves mutations in at least three different spotting genes
Red-speckled Australian Cattle Dog	Liver-ticked German Shorthaired Pointer	Flecked, ticked, speckled: also called belton in English Setters
Orange belton (orange and white speckled) English Setter	Blue speckled Australian Cattle Dog
Darker brindle and white Boston Terrier	Medium brindle Galgo Español	Brindle: A mixture of black with brown, tan, or gold; usually in a "tiger stripe" pattern.
Airedale Terrier with large black saddle		Saddle or blanket: A different colour, usually darker, over the center of the back.
Dark orange sable Pomeranian	Lighter sable Shetland Sheepdogs	Sable: Black-tipped hairs; the background colour can be gold to yellow, silver, gray, or tan. The darkness of the coat depends on how much of each hair is black versus the lighter colour.

White Dobermans the 5th color

WHITE DOBERMANS: With all due respect for the Doberman Pinscher Club of America (DPCA) I am well aware of their position regarding "white"/"albino" 'z' factored Dobermans,and As responsible breeder and 'dog-lover' I have decided to own and breed the white. Tho I myself am breeding for the Cream color. The Cream Dobermans do have pigment in there coat. Myself and fellow breeders have found them to be the 5th color of Doberman not 'albino' every bit the loving"Doberman" as the other colors (black, red, fawn &blue). We have not encountered the issues presented by the Club members.I believe the buyer should decide for their self. As does the DPCA have a right to their opinions, to a potential buyer with questions regarding white dobermans, or Cream Dobermans please review the opinions of the DPCA or feel free to ask me or any of the Quality Cream/ White Breeders about there experiences with the Cream/White Dobermans.

There is a Club for the White Dobermans, it is called the Doberman Pinscher Alliance of America or DPAA
the DPAA is for all 5 colors not just white and you don't have to own a white to belong. You hear people say that Whites can not be registered and they cannot show. Well they are wrong. They can be registered and they can show in many area's, And there are Champion Whites as well as Champion WZ registered dogs. DPAA Titles Her you will see some beautiful White Dobermans doing what they do best. Just like any other color Doberman.

Now the Doberman is a dog that was created from many breeds of dogs.that's not much more than 100 years old. It was developed in the late 1880's by Herr Louis Dobermann, who, as the tale goes, was a Tax Collector and Dog Catcher in his town among other things. He had many breeds at his disposal to "create" his "perfect dog". Some of the breeds used it is speculated are,The Weimaraner, the Greyhound, the Manchester Terrier, Thuringian Shepherds, German Shepherds, German Pinschers, Great Danes, German Short Haired Pointers, and early Rottweilers and French Beauceron. But it is not known for positive which all dogs were used. Just speculation. Ok lets look at these dogs, The Greyhound, originated in England introduced by USA breeders into the US gene pool around 1908, they come in many colors orange, black, white, fawn, or a roan of these colors with or without white markings. Weimaraner, originated in Germany was finally brought to America in 1929, a distinctive gray color which can range from silver to mouse-colored (beige or tan toned). The skin is flesh-toned rather than white or black. Manchester Terrier,originated in England typical color is Black & Tan, German Shepherds, come in a variety of colors including solid black, grey, brown, and yellow, tricolor (black, white, and brown or red), or sable (black and red, silver, or tan) German Pinschers ,originated in Germany in the 1600's, they come in a variety of colors also including, black with tan markings; other possible colors are red, fawn, and brown with yellow markings. Solid black and ‘salt and pepper’ varieties existed in the early 20th century.Great Danes, originated in Germany also colors were many including fawn (gold with a black mask, possible black ears and tail tip), brindle (gold with a black stripe pattern), steel blue, glossy black, ‘Harlequin’ (white with black patches), and ‘Mantle’ or ‘Boston’ (black with white muzzle, chest, and tail tip). White and blue merle Great Danes occur but are not accepted by most standards. German Short Haired Pointers, Originated in Germany resulting from careful crosses in the 17th century of the Spanish Pointer, Foxhound, Italian Pointer, and Hannover Hound. Colors are liver (dark brown) with possible white, brown, or yellow markings. Some standards allow black or black and white. Rottweilers, originated in the Roman Empire, it's colors black with brown markings with white on the chest. Beauceron originated in France, Colors can be black and tan or harlequin with patches of grey, black, and tan. Thuringian Shepherds originated in Northern and Central Germany in the 1800's which were direct descendents of wolves. (Jim in New Jersey has DOCUMENTED PROOF that MORE THAN HALF OF THE FIRST 10 SIEGER’S WERE DESCENDENTS OF WOLVES!)

Ok now that you have all these colors and coat types etc.You can see that White is in several of the breeds as well as Yellow, Gold, Silver,Salt and Pepper, Tan, and more. Who is to say that the White or Cream is not a true color???? As the Cream could be called Yellow or Gold. If these colors were used to Create the Doberman then those colors are not a defect in my book.

Stop and think about this. From what little I have been able to find in reguards to testing, If you were taken and put in a cage and poked and prodded and tested for god knows how long and probably fed just plain ole dry dog food what would your condition be. Plus there were 2 dogs that were tested,they were sisters that were inbred so what kind of results do you expect to get.And the puppies they produced were black not white. When they talk about cancer in whites they forget to tell you that 50% of all dogs die of cancer. And that is not just in the Doberman breed that is in all breeds. That was a scientific study I found on the internet. So who is kidding who. All dogs may have skin problems of some sort not just the White Doberman. I have owned Reds and Blacks that had skin issues. It is not just the Whites that may have these problems as the DPCA would like you to believe. I have owned German Shepards that had skin issue's. I once owned a St.Bernard that got hot spots. I had a Sharpei that had skin trouble. So skin problems have nothing to do with the color of the doberman only. As of July 1 2009 I have had my Creams going on 2 years and have not had one bit of trouble in skin, hair, eyes, ears or anything else.

Lysa has a wonderful page. She does genetics and has studied the doberman for many many years. In talking with her the first time I learned a lot in just the short time. She wrote an article on Debunking the DPCA. This article was published . She has also informed me that the white doberman can be shown in another country. I will have to ask again which country. But in the US they can be shown in all but Conformation. She has information on the testing and all that the DPCA did and in it it states that 2 bitche's were bred and had 17 pups all were black and tan. Now what does black and tan pups have to do with white??? They claim to have had to put most of the pups down from aggression. But these were not white pups these were black and tan. They are trying to hide who was bred to who and what all the results they supposedly came up with. I will try to get the articles and get them posted. But I ask anyone out there if you have the info that shows white were bred and whites were born and have the dates and AKC # to prove this then bring it on.. We would be more than happy to see your proof that the whites have the problems.

It was suggested that "albino" (white) Dobermans may have a mutation in tyrosinase,since that is the cause of many types of albinism in humans and mice. However,in a recenlty completed study, the entire coding sequence of TYR was normal insuch Dobermans (GenBank AY336053) and also in blue and Isabella (fawn)Doberman Pinschers. These results suggest that the P gene may be the cause of this albinism. We did find that these same Isabella and red Dobermans were both homozygous for the TYRP1 proline deletion mutation indicating both are actually brown in base color. (As published in the PinscherPatter, Dec. 2004)

I researched and read all the info I could find on the net about White Dobermans before buying my first one. There are a lot of horror stories out there but most of them are from inbred dogs if the truth be known. By Breeding in good Blood lines the White Doberman can be improved just like they do with any other dog.How do you think the Doberman was created??It was created using many dogs of different breeds.Once created they were inbred to get the same kind of dog produced. And so they had problems which is to be expected. You breed to improve using good Bloodlines and that's what we the Cream/White Breeders of this website are doing . On this page you will see some wonderful White & Cream/White Dobermans. Some with some great European CH Bloodlines, some with great American CH Bloodlines. And some great Euro/American cross CH Bloodlines. The first whites may have had problems because people had to inbreed to get the whites but over the years they have been improved upon with good Bloodlines. And inbreeding is no longer a strong factor. Not with a good breeder anyway. But beware there are breeders out there that do inbreed. And not just the whites but coloreds as well. Stay away from any inbred dog.

The woman Becky that I have been dealing with calls her a Blond. They say ( " I have just sent results for our coat color testing for your samples. Our tests show Yogi's Sweet Sasha Blue is genetically dilute black as I would expect based on her blue color. Loki's Dream is dilute brown as I would expect based on his pictures on your web site. However the tests for these genes do not explain the blonde color of the others. As you can see there is no common type for your blonde dogs Our tests did not uncover the gene or genes responsible for the blonde color of your dogs. Becky")

Starting off, your puppy will need its first set of shots at the age of 6 weeks, and not before. Depending on the area you live in, different vaccines are also given. In areas that do not have a high tic count, or high Lymes disease incidence, most veterinarians will not include that in the regular vaccines. The most common first set of vaccinations would be the DHPP, or Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus. If your veterinarian vaccinates for Leptospirosis disease, it will be a DHLPP. Since there are very few cases of Lepto anymore, your pet probably will not be receiving a vaccination for that. They will also get their Bordatello, either a shot or drops in the nose. Some people refer to this as kennel cough. The DHPP or DHLPP should be repeated again at 12, 16 and 20 weeks of age. Your pet should also be wormed at this time and started on their heart worm preventative. At 3 months, your pet should receive his Rabies vaccination. Some counties and states have different requirements on this so be sure to check with your locality. The next year, the Rabies and the DHPP (DHLPP) will need to be repeated. After this, it is not necessary to have them more then once every three years, if your county recognizes the 3-year Rabies vaccine. The Bordatella however, should be repeated annually. This is especially necessary for pets that are boarded, groomed or around other pets such as at parks or play dates. Be sure to watch your puppy closely the evening after his vaccinations to ensure he is not having a negative reaction to the vaccines. It is normal for them to be a little sluggish and maybe not want to eat, but use common sense in evaluating that. If you think that the symptoms are more severe then normal, such as difficulty breathing, seizures or rapid heart rate, get them back to the vet immediately, and for future vaccinations, let the veterinarian know so they can do an antihistamine shot prior to giving more vaccinations to avoid any bad reactions or adjust which vaccinations they are giving. Remember, its extremely important to have your pet vaccinated properly and discussing this with your veterinarian may put your fears and questions to rest.

The foremost recommendation is to discuss the vaccination program with your veterinarian. Don't be hesitant to ask questions about the pros and cons of vaccinations.

Your veterinarian will likely "booster" your dog one year after the "puppy" vaccine series to protect against canine distemper virus, canine adenovirus, parainfluenza and canine parvovirus. If the risk of kennel cough is great, a vaccine against bordetella is recommended. The rabies vaccines should be given as recommended by local law. Newer vaccines effective against specific forms of the bacteria leptospirosis may be important in some areas.

Dogs older than 2 years: Annual revaccination (boosters) is recommended for the first year after the "puppy vaccines"; thereafter, you should discuss the benefits and risks of annual vaccination with your vet. In the past, the DHLP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvovirus) vaccine was typically given each year. These recommendations are changing. The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) came out with new guidelines in 2006 that suggests that adult dog vaccines boosters may be adequate if given every 3 years. Specific vaccine requirements for individual dogs should be discussed with your veterinarian. The most appropriate vaccination program for your pet should be followed.

Again, if the risk of kennel cough is great, a vaccine against bordetella is recommended. The bordetella vaccine needs to be given at least yearly, and each year you and your veterinarian should assess whether it is required. The rabies vaccine should be given as recommended by local law. Newer vaccines effective against specific forms of the bacteria leptospirosis may be important in some areas. The need for the vaccine should be determined based on the area of the country your dog lives in and his or her life-style. If given, they should be administered once to twice a year.

Other vaccinations that are sometimes given by your veterinarian include coronavirus, Lyme and giardia. These are not routinely given to every animal, and their use should be discussed with your veterinarian. The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) came out with new guidelines in 2006 that suggests that coronavirus and giardia vaccines are not recommended for dogs at any age. The Borreliosis/Lyme disease vaccine is recommended for dogs that live in an endemic area where risk of exposure to the tick vector is high or dogs that travel to endemic areas.

If a breeder does not guarantee there pups for at least 1 year please let me know. As I do not recommend pups from a breeder that will not stand behind there pups 100%. I have had some people ask how much should my puppy weigh? Well that depends on how there raised. In asking others this came from Ike Brown. From his info compiled. This is a puppy fed Just regular puppy food. As most people only feed puppy chow to there litters. They don't get all the extras that some breeders like myself put into there pups. And it shows by the pups weights and looks of there coats and eyes. Just remember this is an average. If your puppy is below this weight then there below average and really need some nutrition boosting to get a good size.

Puppies usually weigh between 8 and 16 oz. at birth:

At One Week Of Age: ******* weigh 1 Lb. 6 oz. Dogs weigh 1 Lb. 5 oz.

At Two Weeks Of Age: ******* weigh 2 Lbs. 9 oz. Dogs weigh 2 Lbs. 7 oz.

At Three Weeks Of Age: ******* weigh 3 Lbs. 6 oz. Dogs weigh 3 Lbs. 4 oz.

At Four Weeks Of Age: ******* weigh 4 Lbs. 12 oz. Dogs weigh 4 Lbs. 8 oz.

AtSix Weeks Of Age: (Dogs take over and are about 2 oz. heavier). ******* 8 Lbs. 2 oz. Dogs weigh 8 Lbs. 4 oz.

At Eight Weeks Of Age: Difference is often as much as 1/2 Lbs. Bitches12 Lbs. Dogs 12 1/2 Lbs.

White Dobermans do not meet the AKC standards as white is a prohibited color. They are not to be bred and only hurt the breed instead of improving bloodlines

This party below apparently does not know to much about the showing of the Dobermans. To see some beautiful Cream/White dobermans showing and winning go here as well as WZ dogs of all colors.

White or Creams & Z factor dogs that show or have shown

So many people spout off that WZ or Cream/White or Whites do not show or cannot show and no titles are earned. This is not true. They can show. Below is a letter from the AKC regarding this.
Hello,
A WZ registration number does not in and of itself disqualify a dog from any competition. If the dog is of an acceptable color for conformation competition, the dog would be eligible. The judge does not review the catalog and would not be aware of the WZ number; but you may receive some input from other exhibitors who, in their opinion, find disfavor with exhibiting dogs carrying the Z factor. Dogs who are actually a disqualifying color are eligible to compete in AKC Companion events including obedience, agility, rally and tracking.

Most breeders that do show there Whites or Creams or Z factor dogs do not brag about them because of all the hate mail they get from Ignorant people that know nothing about the dog in question. (This comes from a breeder and shower of WZ & White Dogs) When a WZ dogs beats out a non WZ dog the Non WZ people just can't stand it and just get bitchy. This is stupid but that is ignorance for you. From one Breeder and Shower of AKC WZ dogs she said you have to have a really tuff skin to show a WZ or White dog in AKC Events. From another person that shows WZ dogs she said it is much nicer showing with the CKC than AKC because there not such snobs. Just because they carry the WZ in the # does not mean a thing nowadays really. A dog that may have had a white in his background 30 years ago is penalized by the DPCA people as being defective when it is not. Once you have gone 3 generations you have lost whatever may have come from the white dog. And there may not have been any problems with the White dog. It is condemned just because it is White or Cream. And as of yet there is nothing to prove that the White or Cream Doberman is defective. All the colored Dobermans can get all the same disease's and complications that a White or Cream can. They get cancer,they have eye problems, hip problems, skin problems, Thyroid problems and more. I have personally had Black dobermans that I had many issues with that came from good bloodlines. It is not the color of the dog that makes the dog. You the owner make the dog. By the care ,feeding & training you provide
