What Buyers & Sellers should beware of
There are pitfalls to Buying and Selling both. This page is so that people out there will know just what can happen when they are buying or selling. Because of everyone being sue happy no one can say don't buy from a particular breeder or sell to a particular buyer by full name, even if you have had a bad experience with a particular Breeder or Buyer.Even if you have seen the abuse or problem first hand. But you can post a first or last name & photo's if you have them and give the town and state, and tell about your experience with a Breeder or Buyer as long as you do not name the Breeder or Buyer by first and last name.You can only use one or the other. You may send me any pics or documentation you have on a breeder or buyer along with a statement of what happened and I will see about getting it posted for you.

People that leave them out in the cold or heat no shelter etc...... People that use them in Puppy Mills and Brokers are also included. The Situation is a puppy mill Breeder. Run by a Negro. All the dogs are in cages in a back yard. I would estimate some 30+ dogs of all large breeds. Some of the *****'s looked way over bred. Thin and dull coats.The pens were on concrete,had a dog house and water bowl and that was it. The dobermans to me were very sad looking. Ribs showing. He had an Albino that should never be bred as she had a bleed thru condition.Blood oozing thru the skin like ink. They had dobermans and was the reason I visited this place. But I did not know it was puppy mill till I got there.I was appalled at the situation when I visited this place and saw the dogs. When talking to my vet about this Breeder she stated she would not talk about this person and made her opinion quite clear about his kennel.

Upon taking this pup to Dr. Zeek in Phenix City She stated he had a yeast infection in his ears, He was wormy, had a tender stomach and to watch him for Bloat as he was a bit bloated at time of exam. His rump area was eat up with fleas not much hair left on rump.His coat was dull and he stunk. She stated that her opinion was he was a kennel dog from his looks and smell. He was given Capstar for fleas, put on vitamins, wormed with Drontal which she said was a hefty wormer and would get them all, meds given for ear infection. She Stated if we (meaning her and I) got him thru all that was wrong him him that she felt he would be a very good dog. She stated that his size at time of exam and age that he was probably out of German lines somewhere in his background. And that he would be a large dog when fully grown. Because of his condition she questioned his vet records and Upon contacting the supposed vet on the booklet the seller provided we were informed that they had never seen this pup. No vet exam, no health certificate, they had never given any shots or checked this puppy at all. Tho both things were mentioned in the ad. In trying to contact the seller the emails were never answered. Pictures of Parents that she stated she would send never arrived. 3 months after his pictures were posted on my website on msn I was contacted by a woman in Penn. She asked about the picture of him as a pup and stated to me that it was the same picture that she had received of a female pup that she bought. When we compared Pedigrees we found the pups were from the same breeder. Same sire, different Dams. But the same photo was used to sell both male and female and pups from 2 different litters. Just a couple months ago a woman in Lower Al. that I was dealing with on a white dog told me about this breeder in Midway. Warning me to stay away from any dogs coming from there. When asked why she said she had been there and it was a bad situation.She stated it was a Puppy Mill and a very bad one. She told me more but suffice it to say had I talked to her last year I would never have dealt with this breeder

She weighed 4.5 to 5 lbs when I got her at 6 weeks old on She had not received any worming nor any vaccine’s not even her first pup shot. I forgot to tell you in the other e-mail that you may have to have your pups’ tail re-docked as I have to have her tail redone. Also I hope you get your AKC papers with them because I haven’t gotten mine yet and I’ve had her going on a month on the 15th of this month"
Second Buyer of pups has stated that all the pups she bought and she bought them cause she felt sorry for them. Said they were flea ridden. Skinny beyond belief. In a living situation that was intolerable to her. This is a picture of little male
Very Malnutrition-ed.Ribs showing badly,shoulder blade bones very visible. And listless looking. Vet said this puppy had Coccidia, was full of worms. Fleas were awful on pups. So far pup has been treated 3 times for Coccidia they were that bad in his little system. As well as his sisters. Pups can be brought back up from Cocidia but it stays with them for life according to my vet. Dr. BlackMar. They will get well but there bones are weakened from it. One pup developed a deformity at about 9 weeks. Seller refused to take pup back. Would not stand behind his pups. Refused to return calls. Had to keep at Paul to get the AKC papers. Finally got papers at about 9 months of age.
This person was reported to me by a breeder that had sold her a pup.This is what was sent to me by the person that sold her the pup.
This person bred the pup on first heat. Was not in condition to have pups and lost all. Said person bred female on next heat and again lost all pups. she continued to do this. And continued to loose the pups. Female was in really bad shape. It is a blessing that she is now in heaven with god where she is loved and cared for like she should be.

Marianna, FL (or Atlanta, GA) lady named Paula. Purchased an 8 wk old pup from a breeder only to return it 3 wks later "because she could not train it". Bought another pup just 6 days after returning first pup. The 2nd pup was turned over to Rescue at the age of 8 months with claims she was moving and could not take the dog with her (breeder was not offered first refusal). She is once again looking for another pup. She told the 2nd breeder she still had the dog and was looking for a companion for her. She has constantly lied to both breeders. This is NOT a good home for a Doberman. Her previous actions speak for them self. Seller Beware..... put it in your written agreement that pup must be returned to you if they cannot keep it.

Lady's name is Rosie, Buys a pup keeps it a while then gets rid of them because she has a couple older poodles. Thats always her excuse. The dobie is mean to my poodles and they are old. my girl friend told me about her. she came here once. all mine where sold. she had called me a couple times complaining about the pups she had bought and then gotten rid of. I told her to make a choice, Poodles or Dobermans.But I would not sell to her.

Ladies name is Melody, I purchased a female pup from her. Upon my vet checking her found that she had cocidia the vet treated her and she is fine now. I called to let Melody know about the pups condition and could never get her on the phone. After she got her money never spoke to her again, even tho I called several times. She was always sleeping I was told.

Mrs. Nickleson was supposed to have shipped a pup to me on a specific date. Pup not received
called and got the excuse that puppy was sick. Tried contacting several times more and no
one would answer the calls. Left messages. Finally reached her and got another excuse why pup had still not been shipped.Finally got tired of the song and dance and told her I wanted my money back. She said I would have to wait till she resold the puppy. (I had paid $1000 up front. )I told her was not my fault that pup was not delivered and that I was no longer interested in her dogs. She finally agreed to send my money back. Did not get it and tried calling,no answer. Left messages Finally talked to her again got a lame excuse as to why she had not sent it. Said she would. Still have not received my money. Giving her 2 more days then Next step will be calling pay pal. After a few months and numerous calls & emails finally received my money back from this breeder. Thank God for Pay Pal.

Breeders name W.R.Wilson Upon getting puppy it looked really bad. Upon taking puppy to vet for well puppy exam. Found that it had worms bad. Hookworms, Roundworms and Coccidia. Was not well cared for. Given meds and treatment instructions from my vet to take care of the puppy. Contacted Michaelene to see what I could do to bring the puppy up as she was very tiny and underweight according to my vet. Put her on a good diet and her meds. Had to treat second time as she was so bad. Tried many times to contact the breeder to tell her about the pups condition but she would never take my calls.

We bought from Miss Crumpton in Maplesville Al. I just wanted to let you know that our dog has demodectic mange,2 kinds of worms. She weighed only 4# when we got her, the vet said she was so dehydrated and skinny she didnt know if she would live. The mange cost us 40 dollars every two weeks, plus antobiotics and other charges, skin scrapes, etc, she has been dipped 4 times so far, and another dip friday, she has cleared up alot now. luckily ours was frontal mange and not whole body mange like the other pups I have spoken to four other people that bought from different litters and parents of Sheree's Dobie's and all have full demodectic mange and a couple of the pups had parvo when they were taken for their first vet visit. One girl told me that Sheree would replace the parvo pup and when they went to Sheree's house her dogs were kept in 10X10 kennels and the studs were kept on 5 ft chains, she said the dogs had been breed so much that they didnt even look like Dobies, they were skinny and tired looking. She owes us money and papers for our dog that she has never sent to us also. I know you cannot do anything about this, but i wanted to make the Dobie community aware of this lady and her predatory business practices. We will be contacting the attorney general in her city to see if charges can be brought against her, our 5 month pup has had more in medical bills than the 650.00 it cost to purchase her.

This shows even with good intentions as I have had several emails from this person stating she was feeding her and did care. Which I cannot say she did not. But from her looks is all I can go by. If the food is not good your pup can starve. And if you can't afford the vet care for worming,shots,fleas,heartworms and anything else that comes up don't buy it. The one that suffers is the little soul for they cannot take care of them selves and they can't tell you there starving because the food your feeding is no good. Or that they have worms of fleas or coccidia or any other disease or parasite that might come along.

shelter. Upon visiting this breeder said dogs were in kennels and looked starving. Some puppies very
malnutritioned. This party is known for loosing a lot of pups. Has been turned in numerous times.
Selling pups that are sick and end up dying. Has had numerous complaints filed about sick and
dying pups being sold.

TheHSUS also foundthat several Petland stores were still buying from some of the facilities that we clearly named and exposed as part of our initial Petland investigation in November, including MAM (Mike and Melanie Moore's) Kennels in Missouri and Charlene Koster's kennel in Kansas—puppy mills where more than 100 dogs were filmed running back and forth in small wire cages. The investigation foundat least two Petland stores in Florida still buying puppies from the facilityassociated withKathy Bauck in New York Mills, Minn. Bauck was convicted of three counts of animal torture and one count of animal abuse in March 2009, the same month that the East Orlando Petland store purchased several puppies from her facility. Health certificate documents show that the Largo Florida Petland store also purchased at least one puppy from Bauck's kennel in February 2009. "We even found two stores buying from a convicted animal abuser, and others buying from individuals who have a long history of Animal Welfare Act violations, or who hold no USDA license at all. But even licensed and legal commercial kennels can still be puppy mills, where 100 or more breeding dogs have been found confined to small wire cages for life. Since the original Petland investigation was released in November, a consumer lawsuit has been filed against Petland, and more than 600 former Petland customers have contacted The HSUS to tell their heartbreaking stories.

The 2nd pup was turned over to Rescue at the age of 8 months with claims she was moving and could not take the dog with her (breeder was not offered first refusal). She is once again looking for another pup. She told the 2nd breeder she still had the dog and was looking for a companion for her. She has constantly lied to both breeders. This is NOT a good home for a Doberman. Her previous actions speak for them self. Seller Beware..... put it in your written agreement that pup must be returned to you if they cannot keep it.

The dobie is mean to my poodles and they are old. my girl friend told me about her. she came here once. all mine where sold. she had called me a couple times complaining about the pups she had bought and then gotten rid of. I told her to make a choice, Poodles or Dobermans.But I would not sell to her.

I called to let Melody know about the pups condition and could never get her on the phone. After she got her money never spoke to her again, even tho I called several times. called and got the excuse that puppy was sick. Tried contacting several times more and no
one would answer the calls. Left messages. Finally reached her and got another excuse why pup had still not been shipped.Finally got tired of the song and dance and told her I wanted my money back. She said I would have to wait till she resold the puppy. (I had paid $1000 up front. )I told her was not my fault that pup was not delivered and that I was no longer interested in her dogs. She finally agreed to send my money back. Did not get it and tried calling,no answer. Left messages Finally talked to her again got a lame excuse as to why she had not sent it. Said she would. Still have not received my money. Giving her 2 more days then Next step will be calling pay pal. After a few months and numerous calls & emails finally received my money back from this breeder. Thank God for Pay Pal.

Breeders name W.R.Wilson Upon getting puppy it looked really bad. Upon taking puppy to vet for well puppy exam. Found that it had worms bad. Hookworms, Roundworms and Coccidia. Was not well cared for. Given meds and treatment instructions from my vet to take care of the puppy. Contacted Michaelene to see what I could do to bring the puppy up as she was very tiny and underweight according to my vet. Put her on a good diet and her meds. Had to treat second time as she was so bad. Tried many times to contact the breeder to tell her about the pups condition but she would never take my calls.

We bought from Miss Crumpton in Maplesville Al. I just wanted to let you know that our dog has demodectic mange,2 kinds of worms. She weighed only 4# when we got her, the vet said she was so dehydrated and skinny she didnt know if she would live. The mange cost us 40 dollars every two weeks, plus antobiotics and other charges, skin scrapes, etc, she has been dipped 4 times so far, and another dip friday, she has cleared up alot now. luckily ours was frontal mange and not whole body mange like the other pups I have spoken to four other people that bought from different litters and parents of Sheree's Dobie's and all have full demodectic mange and a couple of the pups had parvo when they were taken for their first vet visit. One girl told me that Sheree would replace the parvo pup and when they went to Sheree's house her dogs were kept in 10X10 kennels and the studs were kept on 5 ft chains, she said the dogs had been breed so much that they didnt even look like Dobies, they were skinny and tired looking. She owes us money and papers for our dog that she has never sent to us also. I know you cannot do anything about this, but i wanted to make the Dobie community aware of this lady and her predatory business practices. We will be contacting the attorney general in her city to see if charges can be brought against her, our 5 month pup has had more in medical bills than the 650.00 it cost to purchase her.

When looked up this is the dregs of the dregs dog food. No nutrition what so ever. DR. B. said
with proper feed and care pup should be ok.
This shows even with good intentions as I have had several emails from this person stating she was feeding her and did care. Which I cannot say she did not. But from her looks is all I can go by. If the food is not good your pup can starve. And if you can't afford the vet care for worming,shots,fleas,heartworms and anything else that comes up don't buy it. The one that suffers is the little soul for they cannot take care of them selves and they can't tell you there starving because the food your feeding is no good. Or that they have worms of fleas or coccidia or any other disease or parasite that might come along.

TheHSUS also foundthat several Petland stores were still buying from some of the facilities that we clearly named and exposed as part of our initial Petland investigation in November, including MAM (Mike and Melanie Moore's) Kennels in Missouri and Charlene Koster's kennel in Kansas—puppy mills where more than 100 dogs were filmed running back and forth in small wire cages. The investigation foundat least two Petland stores in Florida still buying puppies from the facilityassociated withKathy Bauck in New York Mills, Minn. Bauck was convicted of three counts of animal torture and one count of animal abuse in March 2009, the same month that the East Orlando Petland store purchased several puppies from her facility. Health certificate documents show that the Largo Florida Petland store also purchased at least one puppy from Bauck's kennel in February 2009. "We even found two stores buying from a convicted animal abuser, and others buying from individuals who have a long history of Animal Welfare Act violations, or who hold no USDA license at all. But even licensed and legal commercial kennels can still be puppy mills, where 100 or more breeding dogs have been found confined to small wire cages for life. Since the original Petland investigation was released in November, a consumer lawsuit has been filed against Petland, and more than 600 former Petland customers have contacted The HSUS to tell their heartbreaking stories.
