Contract for 5 year limited Health & Accident guarantee:

This contract is just a precaution to protect the buyer and seller of a new puppy. Keep in mind it is the owner or "MASTER" that makes a good family Doberman. Puppies are like having a new child, treat them like so. AKC has recognized Dobermans as the most family oriented dog to own. Please feel free to call MijnSchatjedobermans with any questions or concerns. We hope you enjoy your new family member. When first taking puppy home do not take puppy anywhere else but to your CLEAN, SAFE ENVIRONMENT, YOUR HOME. For the first couple of weeks the puppy needs to be in a crate (make sure this crate has been bleached to kill any possible virus ) for early potty training, only let your puppy in your yard in a small area where it has not been used by stray dogs or other animals that may carry unwanted diseases. If you have another pet at home it is ok to have puppy around them as long as shot record is up to date and presentable and the animal is healthy. Do not take your puppy to a puppy or dog Park till after he/she has had all there puppy shots. As that is a good way to pick up disease. When taking your puppy to a vet please keep him/her in your lap and not on the floor as she/he can pick up disease's from the floor of your vets office. When taking your Puppies under 6 months of age to your vet ask if they are treating any case's of Parvo before taking the puppy in. If they are please try and find a vet that is not as your puppy can pick it up from your vet visit.


Parties:

THE BREEDER shall hereinafter be referred to as the “Seller.” The original purchasing party,
and solely the original purchasing party, shall hereinafter be referred to as the “Buyer.”

Guaranteed Contract- Terms and Conditions

Upon Purchasing this puppy there is a 48 hour guarantee against any major defects such as heart murmur, blood disease, or bone defect in this puppy’s health. If the puppy is purchased on a weekend, then you have until the following Monday. You need to take your puppy to your veterinarian within 48 hours of purchase for a well puppy exam. Keep your receipt. If you decide not to take the puppy to the VET as requested by MijnSchatjedobermans, we the breeders will not be held responsible for any illness or problems with puppy of any kind. And the guarantee is void for all time. If your veterinarian finds any medical reason your puppy is unfit to be a good pet, such as, a heart murmur and/or Blood disease, or Bone defect you may exchange it for another puppy of breeders choice. No money is refundable. However a signed notarized letter from your veterinarian and X-Rays are required stating the reason for such. Any expenses acquired during the exam are not reimbursed. I will take any Doberman back and find it another home if possible or it will remain with breeder if you decide to bring puppy back for any other reason. Such as changed mind or can't have pup in new home or whatever. However no money will be refunded or puppy exchanged . If the puppy was shipped you have 48hrs after taking possession of puppy, But understand that the puppy has just been through a traumatic time and may not be up to his usual self for several days. He may come in dirty from being kenneled for the flight with no place to potty but his carrier. Please have him bathed and groomed ASAP after a flight. To prevent any possible infection from feces & urine. And to keep his skin & coat clean. Failure to do this may harm the puppy and his care is the most important thing right now. Your puppy has left my care disease free and flea free. First Shots at 6 weeks are given. We use Vanguard Plus 5 way. It is up to you to get his next set of shots at 9 weeks and then 12 weeks and then a parvo booster at 15 weeks as Dobermans have a high Resistance to parvo. It is upon the recommendation of my vet that the shot at 15 weeks be given and a parvo at 6 months. Then yearly thereafter. All my pups receive a 4th 5 way at 15 weeks. This is up to you but Parvo is bad right now so protect your baby. Give him that extra shot. He/She is worth it. Your puppy has been wormed but should be wormed again at 6 ,8 & 10 weeks. And then again at 6 months .





Death of Pet Due to Genetically Caused Disease or Sickness:
Vet papers signed and notarized must be provided to Seller for any and all claims.

1. In the event of the death of the pet within one year from its birth due to a hereditary sickness or disease, the Seller shall replace the pet with another of equivalent value. Shipping is Not included.
2. In the event of the death of the pet, due to hereditary sickness or disease, after one year of birth to age 2, the Seller shall issue a credit in the amount of 40% of the original cost towards the purchase of a replacement pet of equivalent value.
3.In the event of the death of the pet, due to hereditary sickness or disease, after 2 years to 5 years the Seller shall issue a credit in the amount of 25% of the original cost towards the purchase of a replacement pet of equivalent value.
4 The Buyer is responsible for the daily health care and maintenance of the pet, including all immunizations and examinations recommended after purchase, as well as providing necessary medication and follow-up treatments from veterinarian visits. Failure to follow up on recommendations voids the guarantee.
5. The value of the pet for the purpose of this guarantee is solely the original purchase price, and does not include any additional prices declared by the Buyer, such as value as a show dog, etc. Seller sells pets for companion purposes only.
6. In the event this guarantee is exercised, the registration papers must be returned to the Seller along with the body of the dog.

Temperament Guarantee:
7. If, at any time during the first 6 months of Any Puppy , it is found not to be compatible with the situation of the original purchaser, by displaying characteristics that are not acceptable for the breed, as described in the AKC breed characteristics, return the puppy and the puppy will be replaced at no charge. The dog must be in good physical condition, and if any Training is to be done on this pet it must be done by a Breeder/Any Puppy approved licensed trainer. This covers obedience, protection, and all other types of training. The dog must show no signs of abuse or neglect. Such as cowering, cringing , from buyer, Underweight, bones showing, Gums pale. Timid behavior from mistreatment.

Death of Pet Due to Accident:
Vet papers signed and notarized must be provided to Seller for any and all claims.

8. The Seller guarantees the life of this pet for a period of three (5) years.( Excluding Parvo, Distemper, Cancer, Poisoning, feeding of bones, fighting with another dog or dog attack ) Providing all the guidelines have been followed in feeding and vet care and housing.
9. In the event of the death of the pet due to accident, the Seller will issue a store credit in the amount of twenty five percent (25%) of the original price toward the purchase price of a replacement pet of equivalent value.
10. In the event of the death of the pet due to accident, a death certificate from a licensed veterinarian must be presented to the Seller/Any Puppy within twenty four (24) hours of the accident.
11. The value of the pet for the purpose of this guarantee is solely the original purchase price, and does not include any additional prices declared by the Buyer, such as value as a show dog, etc. Seller sells pets for companion purposes only.
12. In the event this guarantee is exercised, the registration papers must be returned to the Seller. Said pup must have been registered and Registration paper must not be expired. You must provide Autopsy report showing the cause of the death signed and notarized by your vet.Along with the body of the dog.

Pet Lost or Stolen: Puppy must be micro chipped , tattooed or both
13. In the event that the pet is lost or stolen within five (5) years from the date of birth, the Seller will issue a store credit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the original price towards the purchase price of a replacement pet of equivalent value.
14. In the event that the pet is lost or stolen, the Buyer must advertise the lost pet in a major local newspaper for a period of two weeks starting within twenty four (24) hours after the loss. In addition, the Buyer must notify the police, Humane Society and Animal Control of the loss. Documentation must be provided to Breeder of above actions.
15. The Buyer must present the Seller with copies of: the police report, the advertisement and paid advertisement bill, papers from Humane Society & Animal control showing contact in order to receive this guarantee.
16. The value of the pet for the purpose of this guarantee is solely the original purchase price, and does not include any additional prices declared by the Buyer, such as value as a show dog, etc.
All receipts showing you have abided by the contract must be presented at time of claim for loss of pup.

Fees:
17. In the event of any litigation in connection with this Guarantee, the purchaser will pay THE BREEDERS/ ANY PUPPYS reasonable attorney fees. Venue and jurisdiction for litigation arising out of or related to this contract shall lie exclusively in County in which the breeder resides.

Immunizations:
18. In order to maintain the limited guarantees outlined herein, the Buyer must have all annual immunizations done by a dually licensed veterinarian. Rabies at 15 weeks then yearly. Booster of 5 way at 6 months, then full yearly shots thereafter. You must retain reciepts showing this has been done if you return a puppy for any reason.

Recommended Feeding and supplements
19. Said puppy must be kept on Blue Buffalo or Nutro Max Holistic dry dog food, & Authority or Max canned Holistic. Which is what they are eating now, which can be purchased at Pet Smart. Said puppy must be kept on full vitamin & nutrient regimen Show Stopper.Which can be purchased at Petco But is half the price at www.k9power.com or http://www.showandsport.com/show_stopper.htm or the supplement Nu-Vet Plus . http://nuvet.com/
I recommend Nu-Vet Plus tabs or powder and or Show Stopper as I use have used both and found both to be excellant. Nu-Vet is a bit less expensive.
Receipts showing they are on said regimen required for Guarantee credit.
Said puppy should be provided Liver and or red meat at least twice a week. 1 tsp. Olive oil daily for the skin and coat & intestinal care. 1 egg every other day for the skin, coat. My recommendation is based on a study of dog foods and what goes into them. Follow the link If you wish to know more about Dog foods. Your puppies are already eating meat and veggies, as I do feed natural or the B.A.R.F diet. They have been introduced to Puppy treats and rawhide chew’s, Greene's and more. The rawhide chews are to help the teeth. Keeps them clean and helps remove tarter.

I feed free choice to all my dogs. They have food whenever they get hungry not just at a set time where they have to gorge themselves once or twice a day. I have found in my 40 years of having dogs that this is much better for my pets, and that they actually eat less food.
My dogs get table food as well. Vegetables are excellent for them. Tho were told not to give them table food. Many foods are good for them. And if you feed natural you know. Stay away from the fatty foods. But veggies are so good for them. And cooked right your dog will gobble them down. Dried Cranberries make an excellent snack as well as carrots & celery. Do not feed them chocolate or grapes or raisins as they can kill your dog.


Heartworm: Flea & Tick:
20.Puppies must be started on and kept on Interceptor for heartworms & Frontline plus flea and tick. If not guarantee will be void.

Housing & fencing
21. Puppy must be provided clean warm housing with you as a family member. Must not be kept on a chain, in a small pen or kennel. Must have fully fenced in yard & or property to run and play. If allowed to run free Accident guarantee is void. Area where puppy is to be must be free of chemicals that may endanger the puppy. Must be free of hazards that could cause the puppy serious harm or death. As this will void the guarantee.


Implied Warranties:
21. The Seller disclaims any and all implied warranties of merchantability and fitness.


Returns:
22. The seller will accept return of the pet, including but not limited to allergy,
Landlord/Tenant, marital, or adjustment problems, etc. NO REFUNDS will be made but a 25% credit will be given towards the purchase price of a replacement pet of equivalent value. For said buyer to purchase a pup in the future when circumstances are such that said buyer can have a pup. This will be good for a period of 2 years from the time
pup was returned. But all papers must be returned with pup signed.

Limitations of Guarantee:
23. This guarantee is non-transferable. The dog must be in good physical condition. No replacement will be given if the female has been bred or spayed. Or male neutered. Unless they have been sold on a spay/neuter contract. No replacement will be given if breeds that are known to be prone to hip dysphasia are over weight or over exercised. No replacement if the registration application form has expired. You must follow the Breeders recommended nutritional program, including recommended dog food, Vitamins, heartworm medication,Flea & Tick medication, etc. and Vet check ups every 6 months You must retain all receipts for food and vitamins to show you are abiding by this guarantee. All dogs must not be over exercised during their growth period. Over exercising is as follows: running with the dog or jumping the dog. All the above-mentioned conditions must be met or all guarantees above mentioned will be void. A licensed veterinarian must do all laboratory verification. The owner is responsible for transportation costs to and from the Seller. Seller is not responsible for any and all veterinarian expenses accumulated on returned or replaced dog or puppy. Seller sells pets for companion purposes only. No cash refunds. No credit refunds. Replacement credit only.


24. Registration papers for all registered puppies will be provided at time of pick up.

25. Agreement represents the total agreement between THE SELLER and THE BUYER and no
other terms or conditions shall be valid to this sale. I, the undersigned, have read this
agreement and agree to its conditions in full.
